Ripstop is a military innovation, often used in uniforms and parachutes — it’s woven using a special technique that creates a fine crosshatch pattern, making it both lightweight and incredibly resistant to tearing. It’s the perfect canvas for a slew of other utility-minded details: eight large pockets, some with zippered closures and some with Velcro for one-handed opening; a versatile 2-way zipper; a full fit for easy layering; and a D-ring to keep your clipper close at hand.
